Hello, My Name is Wuyeh Jobe...
I am a software engineer. I earned a master's degree in information technology (with a concentration on software development and applied machine learning) from Carnegie Mellon University. I graduated from Ashesi University in June 2019, where I studied Computer Science. I love coding for fun and of course creating software products! Fom a township in the western part of The Gambia called Gunjur, as a young African, I have found passion in engaging in activities that improve the lives of people..

Bio

As a young African, I have found passion in engaging in activities that improve the lives of people around me. Whether it is helping my family on the farm to improve food sufficiency at home. Or joining a group of students from my town to help improve education in our community. Or joining a campus project to help restore integrity in our society. And most recently starting a social venture to help improve food security in my community, and ultimately, the country. I see all these things as stepping stones toward creating the future I want for myself, my country, and the world at large. I enjoy working with people from different cultural settings because I believe that’s what brings about the greatest ideas. The lessons I have learned since childhood, together with the experiences I garnered from my projects, coupled with the knowledge I gained from the courses I take have improved my creativity in a profound way. I love teamwork, traveling, exploring new concepts and ideas, computer programming, and farming 😊. I am interested in the integration of technology into agriculture, I have a passion for social entrepreneurship, and I am very much looking forward to the day I can actualize all these interests in the social venture I started. Read about my leadership journey.
